|POSITION TITLE:||Cardiothoracic Registrar (commencing November 2018)|
|APPLICATION CLOSING DATE:||Open|
Keen to further develop your surgical skills? Have a keen interest in Cardiothoracic Surgery? Want to experience more of this field than a 3 or 4 month rotation?
Dunedin Hospital is seeking applications from Registrars interested in pursuing a career in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Ideally applicants will already have Registrar experience in this specialty, however this is not essential.
As one of the two dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Registrars in a team of three (one SET trainee and one rotating General Surgery Registrar) it is expected the successful candidate will become an integral member of the service.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years post graduate medical experience and preferably some surgical experience at Registrar level.
Please note – important information for overseas graduates who are applying:
On 1 November 2017 The Medical Council of New Zealand (the Council) introduced a new method of primary source verification using the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates’ Electronic Portfolio of International Credentials (ECFMG’s EPIC) service.
Please visit the NZMC website for more details about these changes.
